Covid-19 DR Congo
World Emergency Relief supports the orphanage near Dr. John's clinic in DR Congo, providing emergency supplies and food parcels to ensure the children receive one hot meal daily.
Children from impoverished families in the surrounding area have the opportunity to receive a warm meal as well. We will continue to send shipments of essential medical supplies, medical equipment, food, and other urgently needed emergency supplies to help children and their families to survive in remote areas of the Congo.
Because of the covid-19 pandemic and the economic impact on many families, more and more children are coming to the orphanage with the hope of at least one meal a day.
