As the immense magnitude of the COVID-19 crisis subsides, our hearts go out to all who lost loved ones and continue to suffer long-term health complications due to the deadly virus. In difficult times it is essential for us at World Emergency Relief to keep our perspective and know that, although incredibly painful, the crisis will pass. El Salvador

The Covid-19 outbreak has not only worsened the economic situation in El Salvador. Poverty among the population has increased, with up to 500,000 people experiencing acute food insecurity. WER is responding with truckloads of food, diapers and disinfectant wipes.

India

The COVID 19 pandemic is hitting India particularly hard. We support India in its fight against the pandemic. World Emergency Relief will provide urgently needed goods for the care of patients and the population.

With hardship increasing across Indian country and resources declining quickly, we at WER/NAER are committed to continue our work to meet the needs of the children and families who depend on us now more than ever.

Community Impact

The COVID-19 pandemic created both a public health and an economic crisis of historic proportions. During the pandemic, we expanded our community impact programs to meet the growing needs of American families through nationwide distribution of relief supplies like food, hygiene, disinfectant and household supplies.

Africa

The covid-19 pandemic is causing major problems for African countries. The reasons are poor health care and, in some countries, hunger caused by droughts, floods, or the loss of work. Our partners are urgently asking for help to guarantee hygiene measures and to provide food.
