Hurricane
Katrina: 8/30/05
Tuesday 8am(pdt)
WER's five 18-wheelers
are packed and ready to help Katrina's victims, with 200,000
pounds of food, bottled water and blankets. We are waiting
clearance from FEMA on where needed. The storm has slammed
inland areas as well as the Gulf Coast. Access is extremly
limited and needs are changing hourly as isolated communities
are reached and more damage is uncovered.
