Chief Executive
Rev. Joel MacCollam is an Anglican minister who focuses his life on global humanitarian issues. Joel incorporated WER in 1985, and is responsible for overall management and long-range strategic planning with the Board of Directors.

Vice-President of Program Logistics
Kristy Scott has been with WER since 1987. Kristy assesses communities’ needs for our relief aid. She procures our commodities and oversees all stages of Gifts-In-Kind (GIK), from initial aid requests to final distribution. Kristy is also our Ocean Freight liaison with USAID.

Vice President of Operations in North America
Rob Enfield joined WER in 2003, with a BS in Business Management and an MS in Gerontology. Rob’s corporate experience in the Middle East, the Pacific Rim and North America gives him a strong foundation for managing WER’s extensive operations in the U.S. He also serves on the Board of our sister agency in Honduras.

Board of Directors

Mark Duzik, WER’s Chairman, teaches at Life Pacific College and Azusa Pacific University. Mark oversees fundraising and Board training.

Michael Batarseh, WER’s Treasurer, is a Los Angeles pastor active in global Arabic-Christian relations. Michael’s role for WER includes both spiritual and financial oversight.

Gary Becks serves on the staff of a local U.S. Congressman and is CEO of his own group, Rescue Task Force. Gary leads WER emergency response teams worldwide and is responsible for overseeing WER’s programs.

Peggy Reiber, WER’s Secretary, is a retired First Sergeant in the U.S.M.C. Peggy was our Director of Operations for several years and now serves as a senior manager for a San Diego non-profit organization. Her WER oversight includes corporate documentation and human relations.

Scott Dickson joined WER’s Board in early 2007. A San Diego businessman, Scott travels extensively to overseas development projects and serves on WER’s Audit Committee.

Gary Paisley has served as Chairman of WER’s Audit Committee and trained WER staff on accounting issues for
ten years. Now the Chief Operating Officer of a statewide Christian public policy group in Arizona, Gary retired from WER’s Board in 2007.

Gary Helling was a consultant for non-profits before moving to South Africa in 2006. Gary’s key role at WER was to assist with strategic planning issues. Gary retired last year to open a youth camp near Cape Town.

Suzi Kenyon volunteered as our Grants Manager before her election to our Board in 2005. Suzi’s international concerns focus on HIV-AIDS babies and child exploitation. Suzi retired from our Board in early 2006 to give more time to her growing family.
