When Simon, Joseph and Stephanie were infants, they almost lost their lives due to malnutrition. Now they are thriving because of the work of Namwianga Mission and WER food and aid shipments. Simon was brought to the mission right before his first birthday weighing a little over eight pounds. After both of his parents had died, Simon was being cared for by his 10- year-old brother. He was not expected to live but now he is walking and beginning to talk. Shortly after Joseph's mother died, he was |

| brought to the mission. At one, his father took him to live in the village. Six months later, Joseph was near death in the hospital in Kalomo. He is now doing quite well thanks to the intervention of the mission. Stephanie also arrived after her mother died. She had severe allergies to milk and nearly died from reactions. She was given soy formula and she is now thriving and almost three. The Namwianga mission helps the people of Zambia through their christian schools, |
medical clinics and orphan care. WER aids the mission with medical supplies, school equipment and shipments of food. The mission is able to distribute the goods received to their schools, medical clinics, to their orphan units that they operate and to the refugees in the province. Please continue to give to WER for the needy in Zambia. Your donations truly are saving lives. To read more about Zambia click here. To read how you can contribute to WER click here. |
