WER DONORS MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN AFRICA

Helping Malawians To Help Themselves

With the help of our donors, World

Emergency Relief is saving lives in Malawi. WER has sent various forms of aid to this poverty-stricken nation. We work with The Malawi Project to bring food, clothing and farm goods to meet the needs of the people in that region. Mtendere will be the future home to 500 children who have lost their parents to AIDS.
Recently, WER sent a shipment of hoes to Lumbadzi, Malawi.  The hoes were given to local farmers for their efforts in incentive farming. The farmers are participating in two successful programs of agricultural development that are joint efforts between Malawians and Americans. One of the programs is introducing drip system technology to the local farmers. The second program assists the farmers of Malawi that are on a waiting list for drip systems. They have created raised plot irrigation farms with the use of

watering cans and buckets. The program incentives are contests between the farmers to raise the most successful crops. The rewards include clothing for the winners and the promise of drip systems.

World Emergency Relief is making a difference in the world. We are giving children a living chance. Partnered with you, we can change the situation in Malawi. We can help the villagers yield successful crops to feed their villages. We can give orphans a safe place to live, where they can be cared for, educated and fed. Please won’t you help us? Give to WER today and start saving lives.  (Click here for information about Malawi).
